The open-air museum on Hasseløy takes you back to the early days of the herring town 150 years ago. Join the lady of the house or the maid for a guided tour, or explore the Herring Museum on your own!

Join us on a journey back in time at the Herring Museum.

At Dokken, you will be welcomed by one of our friendly museum hosts dressed in period clothing. If you choose a guided tour, you’ll gain a unique insight into life in the herring town 150 years ago. You’ll discover how daily life differed greatly between the rich and the poor, with stories told through the voices of the maid or the lady of the house.

In Spring; Thursdays from April 9, 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM.
In Summer; Every day from June 15, between 10:00 AM and 3:00 PM.
